Teaching songs for kids performed on guitar, mandolin and ukulele to help memorize their multiplication tables and skip counting. These songs help harness the power of music to help learning stick in the brain. 1-13 times tables plus skip counting for 2,3,4,5,10,100 and 1,000. I use very visual ideas in these songs to help the images and the numbers to retain in the brain. Six times tables are six-packs of sodas, twelve times is doughnuts and nine is how many lives a cat supposedly has.
Thirteen times table you say?! Yep. In grade school while I was learning the multiplication tables, I finished the 12 times tables and went to get the thirteen times tables when the teacher said the weren't any. I was rearing for more and so disappointed that I had to stop. So for my inner little math student I wrote not only a thirteen times table but skip counting by 13 song too. No one may ever use it in real life but it turned out to be a great track and very liberating. I hope you enjoy these tunes as much as I did making them.
